Dear colleagues, 

We are delighted to invite you to the International Recovery Forum 2021, to be held virtually on 22 January 2021 from 14:00 Japan Standard Time.  

The International Recovery Forum 2021 will feature discussions with recovery policy makers and experts addressing the unique challenges and opportunities for recovery from the compound disasters, including the unprecedented challenge of managing the dual risks of natural hazards and the pandemic. Two keynote presentations (Mr. KAWATA Yoshiaki, Executive Director of the Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution (DRI) and Mr. Stéphane HALLEGATTE, Lead Economist, with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) at the World Bank) and two expert panel sessions will consider early lessons learned for sustainable recovery, as well as the priorities and opportunities to build back better, greener, and more resilient.
