In celebration of the 2021 National Disaster Resilience Month, priority area lead on Resilient Infrastructure, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) organized a webinar on Disaster Resilience last July 31.
The webinar draw the attention of the members of the PICE including aspiring engineers from engineering schools across the country.
Among the topics covered were subjective risk, disaster risk reduction and management, the DOST’s Hazard Hunter app, the government’s resilience efforts in anticipation of the Big One, and a general overview of ARISE-Philippines and its efforts to drive resilient infrastructure through its collaboration with the International Finance Corporations’ Building Resilience Index (BRI) project.
