[SAVE THE DATE]: Understanding Sendai Framework for DRR: An Option to Reduce Cost

Greetings!

In line with the recently held International Disaster Risk Reduction Day, our network took the initiative to reach out to the UNDRR Global Education and Training Institute (UNDRR GETI) in order to create a special training program for the private sector. Given its global mandate, UNDRR GETI mostly deals with city government officers, providing capacity building support to mainstream disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into sustainable development; convene and support inter-city learning to strengthen resilience (Making Cities Resilient); and to provide capacity building and best practice sharing support to national training institutions working on resilience issues.

As network of ARISE Global, the Board and members of ARISE-Philippines are responsible for promoting our UNDRR mandate on the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 in our respective communities. Therefore, we believe it is critical for each member organizations to understand our role and the benefits from this alliance.

In collaboration with UNDRR GETI, ARISE-Philippines is inviting you and/or representatives to a training workshop entitled, โ€œUnderstanding Sendai Framework for DRR: An Option to Reduce Costโ€, which will be held on November 3, 2022 from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. via Zoom. UNDRR GETI trainers will facilitate the training, for which a certificate will be issued to attendees upon completion.

We deeply encourage the participation of your organization in this event for a better appreciation of the Sendai Framework for DRR in relation to your business operations and to show the solidarity of our network towards these advocacies.
